1 was Jay-Z. Well deserved, congrats, whatever.

2 was Lil' Wayne. OK first off, his album was released last year. Second, he really hasn't done much of anything this year. He had a few features here and there. But he backed off this year to work with all the 'Young Money' cash cows he signed. OH, and btw...his rock shit, its so fucking wack that he should automatically be booted from the list. Now I do understand that he is indeed Lil' Wayne, the self proclaimed 'greatest rapper of all time', has a HUGE following. But that doesn't change the fact that at one point or another this year, people forgot about him (Well, I would hope you have a broad enough library to have new music to listen to). I would have rather them put Soulja Boy on here than Wayne, no knock to Wayne.

3. Drake...Look. I understand where they are coming from with this. He is new, he took the industry by storm, people are all over his dick, blah blah blah. Ok MTV, you can have this one. Let me just voice my opinion. He should be on the list, yes. But not at 3. The name will get you money for having it on the list. NEXT.

4. Kanye...I love Kanye, dude is mad fucking talented as a rapper, producer and as a public speaker (as shown at the MTV awards). He really hasn't done much this year, a few hot features, a tour, bout it. Ok, again MTV, this name will make you money by having it on the list, sure, go for it.

Ok, I see where MTV is coming from. But there are a few names that without question should be on the list.
Soulja Boy, I don't like him as an MC, but the guy is everywhere. People slobber all over his dick any means possible, facebook, myspace, youtube, twitter. Is is easily the most web accessible MC in the WORLD. You can go to just about any major website and find shit on him. Again, he is everywhere. I'm not saying put him in the top 3 or even 5. But he should be in the top-10, especially when you look at it from MTVs P.O.V.

Joe Budden, I don't care where on the list he is, dude should be on. I will admit, I am a fan of Mouse, but you can't deny that the guy has been busy as hell in '09. He has THREE albums out this year, a mixtape out, Joe Budden TV, is followed by 42,555 people on twitter and you cant forget about his 'beef' with Wu-Tang and altercation with Raekwon. That shit, however you view it as good or bad, got his name out there even fucking more. Look I understand that nobody at MTV knows who the FUCK Joe is, but they should. I would take him over 6/10th of that current list, especially in '09.

NOW, THIS ONE GOT ME REALLY FUCKING ANNOYED.
EMINEM
WHAT. THE. FUCK.
Ok look, this guy was gone, disappeared from the game since '04. Then, '09 happened. He released a sick album and was a breath of fresh air in the game. He was ALL OVER the place on magazine covers, interviews, spots. Then his album dropped, people talked about whether Eminem was back to his old form or not for weeks afterwards. Then 'Forever' drops not too long ago and what do we see? Eminem has, without a doubt, the sickest verse on this years version of 'Swagga Like Us' (Btw. The song also had a music video, something MTV should know a lil about) Also, if you're gonna have Wayne on the list just because his name in "Lil' Wayne" then why the fuck can't you have Eminem on this list just because of his name? Eminem is 100000x the MC Wayne is, has been or ever will be. I could talk about this for pages. Oh and btw, Eminem is a top-10 rapper OF ALL TIME. Nuff said.
